OPEN WATER REFRESHER

Scuba Review $80.00

PADI's Scuba Review program is designed to get you back in the water - comfortably!  Are you a certified diver, but haven't been in the water lately? Are you looking to refresh your dive skills and knowledge? Are you a PADI Scuba Diver or referral student diver and want to earn your PADI Open Water Diver certification? If you answered yes to any of these questions then PADI Scuba Review is for you.  This low-impact course is designed to refresh your memory and give you a chance to hone your skills. You will spend about an hour in the classroom remembering some important academic material and another 2 hours in the pool.

Guided Dive $170 (Includes boat charter)

This is a great alternative to the Scuba Review.  Unlike the Scuba Review, this involves doing two ocean dives with a Divemaster.  We will take you on a guided dive trip aboard Sanctuary, our 35' dive boat in Monterey.  You will be able to discuss any concerns you have with the Divemaster, have the confidence of diving with an experienced diver, and refresh your diving skills, in a real world environment-and it's a whole lot more fun!

ADVANCED CLASS

This is a great class for divers including new divers.  We will do five dives: a Navigation Dive, a Night Dive, a Boat Dive, a Deep Dive and a fifth dive (type to be determined).  All dives will be aboard Sanctuary, Monterey's only Limited Load dive boat!  Cost is $345, including Instructor Fee, text package, boat charter, tanks and snacks!  You will need your own dive light.  A dive knife is recommended but not required.  This training is a great confidence builder and a great introduction to advanced diving.

RESCUE CLASS

Surprisingly, one of our funnest classes!  This course will expand your knowledge and experience level. Rescue Divers learn to look beyond themselves and consider the safety and well being of other divers. Although this course deals with serious scenarios, we have lots of fun with it!  Rescue Diver training will prepare you to prevent problems and, if necessary, manage dive emergencies.  Dives/scenarios will be a combination of shore and boat, giving you experience responding to and helping divers in a variety of situations such as tired divers, panicked divers, lost divers, unconscious divers and many other rescue topics.  Cost is $250 plus materials.  Note:  to obtain your certification, you must first complete a sanctioned CPR/First Aid course such as our EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONSE class (see below) or from a recognized agency (Red Cross, American Health & Safety, etc.).

EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONSE

Emergency First Response (EFR) is the fastest-growing international CPR, Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) and First Aid training organization. Dedicated to training the lay rescuer, many divers take the Emergency First Response courses to meet program prerequisites, such as PADI Rescue Diver, or as preparation for becoming a PADI Divemaster. However, most have also found the EFR program to be important in every day life. They have taken a significant step in emergency preparedness, and feel confident that they can provide care should an emergency situation arise.  Cost is $85 (Includes manual, instructor fee and certification card).

DIVEMASTER CLASS

Start on your path to the professional world of diving with the Divemaster course.  As a PADI Divemaster, you will be able to act as an instructional assistant to a PADI Instructor, or act as a professional guide leading divers to new and exciting dive destinations. You will learn about the fundamentals of diving and also start to develop your teaching skills in preparation for your next steps - the instructor level.  In training to become a PADI Divemaster, there are three phases of training: Watermanship, Academics and Internship.  You will need the PADI Divemaster Manual and The Encyclopedia of Recreational Diving. Your instructor will inform you of any other books you may need. You will also be required to have all of your own basic equipment for  SCUBA diving. This includes a Mask, Snorkel, Fins, Boots, Gloves, Knife, Compass, Whistle and Timing Device.  Cost of class is $499 plus materials.
